It's been some time since i last blogged. It's also been some time since i last sat down comfortably on a reclining chair reading the papers. I had finally booked my first exam on tuesday and i must pass that. In fact, i think i should be able to pass it since i've taken months to study it. Of course not months of intensive study but months of taking my time to study when i felt like it. And it was only the past week that i really got down to mugging seriously. Anyway, other than studying, i was busy playing some games like runescape and diablo 2. Runescape was quite impressive considering that it trues to mimic as much as possible what life is as a warrior in the middle ages. You learn how to combine stuff to make weapons and food like bread. I had just played that game once but was disatisfied with the slow network. It was mainly due to me downloading something else at the same time but i guess the game didn't have a huge pull to have me play it again. I attended the sundown worship last night at Lilian's house. It was at ponggol. So from the south-west to the north-east we went. I sat in a taxi with junjie, peter ramdas and bryan. We reached there earlier than the rest who have gone off at the same time. Pastor and pikyee were there too along with TC and arlene and victor's family. The youth that were there comprised of tricia,truddy,james, weixiang, shaun, bryan and me. As i stepped in their 4 bedroom flat the first thing that caught my attention was the glass partition that seperated the bedroom and the dining room. I liked that as it was much better than what i have at home. Ours is just 3 hard plastic sheets and now with many scratches on them. I then vowed to do some renovation once i earn some dough. Anyway, looking through the partition i saw lendsey..think that's her son's name. He was on the computer playing something. I went in and realised he was playing runescape. Once everybody arrived, we started sundown in the living room and had a nice dinner with only 1 dish! Friend noodles. But the bee hoon was very tasty especially when i added chilli sauce. And shaun tried to tell me that i wouldn't want to know what the secret ingredient was. Now usually when someone says that it's usually some saliva had gone into it or whatever so i asked him whether he had spat inside of which he said no. Oh well. After that we went into that study room again and Lendsey was still on the computer. He was totally engrossed and shaun and bryan were telling me he was going to kill another person by deceiving him to be his friend. Oh man..anyhow, i was looking from behind what he was doing, asking someone else in the game to be his friend and asked him to follow. Then when he walked far enough, he would turn his back and kill the guy and get his loot. I saw it happen 2 more times too. One of them after he was killed spewed vulgarities at him and the other guy pleaded for mercy but wasn't successful. Hai..kids these days are more evil than kids my time. Probably it's the upbringing.hm....but i shall not go on commenting. And i also think about the aspereta game i play online too. Sometimes i pair up with people to hunt with not realising that these are kids. They keep telling me that it's time to go to school and man i feel so old..haha. Oh well.
Back to the topic. It's been a long time since i've read newspapers and went through 2 articles that are worthy of comment. I actually was reading them while watching the finals of the Tiger Cup. Yup, Singapore won and it's time for Singapore to prove themselves to a bigger audience with more competition. I found out that one of the writers was a christian. She wrote an article entitled
"Where was God when the tsunamis hit?" Obviously that title caught my attention and i had to find out what was this writer going to write. I had taught that it was another atheist trying to come up with a secular conclusion but as i read the whole thing, i was surprised that she stated her faith in God and that she had subscribed to the right response when bad things happen. Actually the whole article had a christian flavor to it and i thought that it was a bold action taken by her to write something of a religious nature in a secular newspaper. Anyway, i believe it's one way of evangelising. Hope it bears fruit!

Thailand is a very superstitious country and i'm NOT surprised that the evil forces are taking this chance to spook people. That's why the more suspicious a person is, the more satan and his angels will fool around with you. The goal is to make this person go deeper into his superstitions and lose sight of God and His plan.
