Today was a tiring day. I went to the career fair at suntec and there weren't many booths for job seekers. However, there were alot of booths for educational pursuits which was is past my time already. I went along with a friend and so his options were more open so we stopped at various booths. One particular booth that we stopped was a school that offered ACCA. The lady gave us a brochure and told my friend about ACCA. I was looking at the brochure when i saw it state that if you work at least 3-5 years, you can get 5k! That amazed me and i questioned her the validity of the statement. So she replied saying that she's currently getting more than 5k. OKkkkk..so i was looking at a rich young lady..and she was quite chio too. She could talk well and i guess that added even more to the attraction quotient. But too bad she was about 30 or so so i guess no chance lah hor. Anyway it was nice talking to her. Then we went on to another booth selling magazines. My friend as usual was talking to them. I knew they were selling magazine subscriptions so i wasn't interested. But i saw a girl that was chio too. She had that indonesian look and was pretty..hard to describe lah. But she looked professional lor. Anyway..i didn't go there to look at girls ok. They just happened to be there and i noticed..so it's not a crime!!! I did get a few contacts for job agencies so i can send my resume to them. But all in all, what i think the fair is suitable are for ppl who want further education(including after Os) and who want a job in insurance.
After that i went to an improv (improvision) workshop. There were 5 ppl from chicago who came and presented and taught and included us in the fun and games. It was not stand up comedy at all. Yes they let us sit back and watch at the initial part on what they do. They asked what we wanted for a topic. So one person shouted it and the show began. 4 of them were lined up with 1 in front of them pointing at who should speak. So when the person was pointed to, he had to say something until he was not pointed to anymore. so the next person had to continue from where he left off. And so they had to improvise and come up with a totally wacky story that they had no idea in the first place. It was so cool. And one of the games we played was that. And it was just so fun. In fact that was my favourite game. The key is actually not to be self-conscious. Do not be afraid to express yourself and be embarrased. That way you get all the fun doing it. Oh well..i'm sure we'll play that in church or in camps one day. So look out for it.
