Touched by an Angel

Today i had quite an eventful day. In the morning i was doing ywc work and finished around noon. Then i ate lunch. While i was having lunch at 2pm, the show Touched by and Angel came on. For those who don't know, it's one of those rare shows you see where it freely talks about God. It showcases angels working in the lives of people. For example today the episode was about 3 boys who wanted to bomb a school. I'll describe real quick so it might sound lame. An angel spoke to one boy saying that he doesn't have to do it. So he decided not to meet up with the other 2. At the school, an angel approached the school nun and told her that something is going to happen. True enough, as she was going out of the office, she met the 2 boys and asked whether they were going to bomb the school. The boys were shocked and shot the nun in the arm. Thankfully she survived while the 2 boys went to plant the bombs around. Out of the 2 boys one was the hardcore one, the other just followed. So all the time he kept seeing another angel follow him and telling him not to do it. But ultimately it was his choice that's why the angel didn't stop him. She then asked why the angel had approached her(sister theordore) and not the other nun. Then she realised the angel was actually looking for mary and not sister theordore. What happened was this nun had a bad past. 30 yrs ago she had bombed a school with 2 other guys too and as a result, 1 person died. After that she dedicated her life to be a nun. And all the while the nun didn't feel fully healed because of that so in a way the angel was helping her settle her past too. Anyway, because of her past, she was able to relate to the boys and knew what words to say to them when they met in another room. Time was running out and the 3rd boy came to the school and knocked the "hardcore" boy with a fire extinguisher.
Bear in mind that the students were starting class at 8am and were coming back from mass. The bomb was set to blow at 8am. At the same time, the 2nd boy ran out and saw students walking towards the school. He told them not to go in but none believed him. The 3rd boy pulled the knocked out boy out of sch to safety and that meant the only human being left in sch was the nun. The angel said her final words to her and then the angels left. The nun struggled down the stairs and saw students about to come into the sch. She had a choice. Either to hit the fire alarm, or to run out the door. She saw the bomb too and it stated 1min left. She decided on the former and pushed the fire alarm. At once, all the students ran for their lives. And this is when the scene focuses on the nun and the enormity of her sacrificial deed. The scene changes to the bomb as it counted down to the last second and hit 8am. And the show ended. Well, after watching all that i cried. I've cried watching some touching movies before but so far this was the most impactful i've ever watched. I switched off the tv and went to the bathroom and was still crying and thinking how it is possible for a human being to do that. I mean it doesn't sounds like a big deal said in words but the show really knew how to depict that as it builds the whole story up until the grand finale where the nun sacrifices herself. And at the same time, she was recalling her past too and it's like she was atoning for the death of 1 person she was partly responsible of killing.
wow..anyway the show was just amazing. I was still crying and wondering in the bathroom how all this could be possible. And i thought about Jesus. I hear so many times about Jesus dying and i know for a fact that the enormity of the scene would had been much greater if i'd been there. Nowadays we just say it so much it becomes cliche but to really understand what it means is what i believe everyone should know. That's why i said the episode i saw today was really good.

After that chatted on msn for a while while listening to Alisha's Attic. At 4 plus i went to nus to play tennis with a friend after a 2 month hiatus. Played for about an hour and had a great game. Our skills were comparable that's why it was fun. Bad thing is i hit the ball too far many times so i really got to improve my accuracy. And after that went to the prophecy seminar. Pastor's teaching was really insightful. He teaches better than he preaches actually. lol...anyway it's time to go to bed.
