insects

Ok just got back from eating "zhi2 cha4" with the some people i usually like to call "kids" like barbara, andrew, louis, tricia, truddy, jared, amabel, ben, jer, nicholas and junkiat. Hmm...we had a great time eating the good food and me being the biggest among them, i think i ate the most too. We only ordered 4 medium sized dishes and i had to finish the leftovers. Shoftly after, we started talking about animals and what we can and cannot eat. I then mentioned in the bible that we could eat locusts and grasshoppers and tricia was shocked..haha. here's the quotation

"All flying insects that walk on all fours are to be detestable to you. 21 There are, however, some winged creatures that walk on all fours that you may eat: those that have jointed legs for hopping on the ground. 22 Of these you may eat any kind of locust, katydid, cricket or grasshopper. 23 But all other winged creatures that have four legs you are to detest. Yes, althought it's classified as clean, i don't think i'll want to eat it if i had a choice..hehe. I'd prefer to stick to my regular meal of mixed vegetable rice with chicken or fish.
I think after they finish with their Revelation studies, a class regarding biblical clean and unclean meats should commence. Hmm...perhaps i'll teach them or pik yee will coz i need to prepare and do research as i don't know some stuff.

Also, the church just erected a tentage that could provide the courtyard with some shade. Too bad it can't give us shelter from the rain. And i think it costs 20k buckaroos...that's alot for 2 pieces of cloth stuck near top. hai..but they said it was good material so i guess it's worth the money.
