noodles, telemarketer

I just had a call from someone who said that i can go to delphi and collect a swiss designer watch worth $180 and a voucher for accomodation in phuket or ko samui for 4 i think.. On hearing that my defenses went up. Firstly, he didn't even introduce to me what's all this about and secondly, he didn't even call me by name. I was wondering it's one of those things where you go there and sit down for a 2 hour seminar before you really get your free gifts. I asked what this is about and he said that i had put in some forms while shopping in Giant, bugis, shopnsave and blah blah of which i couldn't remember that i had. Or was it my dad who just filled in my name instead of his? Anyway, i wanted to find out more, and i asked him whether it was a lucky draw. He then went on babbling for 2 minutes. I was amazed at how much he can talk..as if he was reading from a script and also amazed at his unnatural use of singlish. I'm getting used to the idea that telemarketers use singlish but his use of it was unnatural. Or maybe because i'm not comfortable with hearing it with his tone of voice. Anyway, he said i could come down and collect tomorrow but i said i can't and may collect it next week instead. He then asked for my name and i wondered how come he doesn't have my name..he then explained for another minute but basically i think what he was trying to say is that privacy is respected that's why he didn't have my name..ok nevermind i won't think too much into it. I'll just go there next week, look at the cruise exhibitions(he emphasized i didn't have to buy any packages), get my gift and head home or somewhere else. So much for surprises after my lunch.

Talking about lunch, i had a simple one today. Previously when i cooked noodles, i would crack an egg in it but then egg prices went up and that's why i couldn't find any eggs in the fridge. Oh well, i had to make do and instead of the egg, i added a tomato. So i had 2 packets of instant noodles, some chai sim(the green veggie) and the tomato. Yup, very simple but yet filling. Now i better get back to study..
