sleepy in class

Today i had school (930-530) and thankfully i wasn't the only student in class. There were 4 of us. Based on the accents, i could tell one was Mauritian, one was PRC and the other Singaporean. The module for this week seems quite challenging and that means i'll have to be more serious in keeping up with the studies. In addition, today i had a very great battle with myself - keeping awake. Not that the teacher was boring but it was because i didn't have enough sleep the night before. So from 11am onwards, i started getting sleepy. Lunch was at 12 and we continued at 130. I thought to myself that if i was already sleepy before lunch, i would face a much greater war to stay awake after lunch - the thought of it scared me. So i came back to the room at 1 to and surfed around, hoping to fully keep myself alert to last another 4 hours. It was fine until 230 when i guess the full effect of the after-lunch syndrome came. And i was really struggling to keep my eyes open for the sake of the teacher. The thing about the class is that it's small so when i start typing or do mouseclicks, the others could hear. Furthermore, i was in the front row. So i tried to balance it out by talking online abit in order to keep me awake. The last time i remembered struggling so hard was when i was in JC and i knew that if anyone closed their eyes, the teacher would publicly wake him up. Well, i'm glad it's all over now and that i'm back in my comfortable home.

BTW, tomorrow i'll be going for a discussion with a company on their plans on developing a .NET application. I hope that i'm qualified for the job. grrr...i feel so green...
