ok i can't believe it's wednesday. Time seems to pass by so fast and next monday i'll be back in school..grr...haven't really finished what i'm supposed to revise yet. I hope i'm able to catch up with most of it before class starts. And i've a feeling i'm going to be the only student for that module and if that's the case, then it'll be me and the teacher for 5 days straight! And that means i have to pay attention in class from 930 to 530!!!grrrrr..i can't bear the thought of it. I hope i'm not the only one in class.

Today i finally had a haircut..i've not had my haircut for almost 2 months and after the cut i felt lighter. I just like the feeling of being clean and light. And the next time i wake up in the mornings, i won't feel so messed up anymore..until my hair gets longer. In the morning i had a tennis session with my primary sch friend. And yeah, after tennis, i had lunch and then went to the barber. Well, i "dried up" by then so i didn't enter the barber shop sticky and all that.

Had my short little devotion in the morning. I was reading from "Welfare Ministry" by Ellen White and this quote is about how lay people (those not working full time for church) can still be instruments to win more souls to Christ

Paul set an example against the sentiment, then gaining influence in the church, that the gospel could be proclaimed successfully only by those who were wholly freed from the necessity of physical toil. He illustrated in a practical way what might be done by consecrated laymen in many places where the people were unacquainted with the truths of the gospel. His course inspired many humble toilers with a desire to do what they could to advance the cause of God, while
at the same time they supported themselves in daily labor. Aquila and Priscilla were not called to give their whole time to the ministry of the gospel, yet these humble laborers were used by God to show Apollos the way of truth more perfectly. The Lord employs various instrumentalities for the accomplishment of His purpose, and while some with special talents are chosen to devote all their energies to the work of teaching and preaching the gospel, many others, upon whom human hands have never been laid in ordination, are called to act an important part in soulsaving.

Hmm..most of the times i read Ellen White's books, she really has some stuff that really captures your attention and hits home. Sadly, some Adventists belittle her and think either she's meant to be read by "old folk" or that her writings are too difficult to understand. Nothing can be further from the truth. Her english is simple and easy to understand..but i guess the only difficult thing about it is because she quotes from the king james bible, otherwise it's readable by people who have gone through PSLE. And i understand that even non-Adventists find her writings a source of encouragement and strength. Even Paul Yonggi Cho (the founder of the world's biggest church) used Ellen White's "Evangelism" book as his guide in setting up small groups...oh well.
