It was another rainy day today. Luckily i don't have to go to school anymore so i can just stay at home and do my revision. Right now i've just finished my exercise so i thought i'll post something here.
Yesterday i saw a hongkong movie called "Papa Loves You". It's acted by Tony Leung Ka-Fai and Charlene Choi. I read the synopsis and found it interesting so i decided to watch it. It's about a dad who loves his daughter very much but yet, he has a problem that he's too gentle(or sissy) and rarely gets angry. His daughter rarely comes home and is very rebellious, getting into fights and threatening other students. And obviously she can't stand her sissy dad and doesn't respect him much. It makes it seem like her animosity will last but one incident happened that changed the course of events. After this incident, the she gets to understand how much her dad loves her. This is very well communicated by the few times when the movie just slows down with her deep in thought and looking at her dad in daily activities. And i thought this itself ought to give the movie a few stars to boast off. You often see this in love stories where the boy looks intently into the girl's eyes but this isn't like that. Rather, the moments are slowly and at first i am left wondering for the first few seconds what this section is about only to find out later that she is deep in thought and thinking how much her dad loves her. It somehow evokes a very deep understanding between me and the actress. Of course there are events in the show where it brings more life to the movie but i won't divulge it to avoid being a spoiler. It was an inspiring movie and it may be overly exaggerated but the lessons i learnt is to slow down and be more appreciative with what i have and the people around me.BTW, the movie may be out in cinemas soon so look out for it.(no prizes for how i managed to watch it)
